About Me

• I’m a 29 year old Masters grad from Southern California living in Bonn, Germany and working in communications for a nonprofit humanitarian aid organization
• My talents include but are not limited to: forgetting to think before I speak, running into inanimate objects, and avoiding adulthood at all costs
• I love languages - I’m fluent in German and Spanish, hence the roots of this blog title “Fernweh Feels” - Fernweh meaning “ache for travel”
• Likes: Spanish coffee, German beer, Mexican food, French crepes, Moroccan tea, Irish whiskey, banana-Nutella ice cream, tattoos, good books, the beach, snowboarding, quality conversation, surfing
• Dislikes: Wearing jeans, willful ignorance
• Travel rules:
  • Try everything once
  • If at the end of the day you’ll wish you’d done it, do it
  • Keep numbers of close friends and family memorized in case something resulting from the aforementioned rule gets you arrested
  • When preparing to travel, lay out all your clothes and all your money. Then take half your clothes and twice the money.
